Petrol 1.0 & 1.2 EB0/EB2 - 3 Cylinder Belt-in-Oil Engine Setting / Locking Kit - PSA - Opel/Vauxhall - Toyota
AST5148A contains the setting/locking tools required for engine valve timing applications on 1.0 and 1.2 multi-point fuel injection ‘EB’ series belt-in-oil (also known as wet belt) engines. They are installed in models across the Citroen-Peugeot range as well as in shared platform models from Opel-Vauxhall and Toyota.
AST5148A can also be used for EB2 GDi (direct injection) engines during toothed belt replacement and engine overhaul procedures, such as cylinder head gasket replacement and camshaft or valve replacement, where the aluminium camshaft casing must be removed from the engine.
The kit includes a Flywheel Locking Pin, Camshaft Setting
Tools, a Crankshaft Sprocket Holding Tool, and a Belt-in-oil Check Gauge.
The Belt-in-oil Check Gauge provides a simple indication of
the condition of the belt. As the Belt-in-oil ages, it can swell or bloat,
resulting in degradation and separation of the teeth. The Check Gauge can be
inserted through the oil filler cap to check that the belt-in-oil has not
enlarged beyond its permissible limit.

Universal Handle for Crankshaft Pulley Holding Tool
AST4939 - Designed for use where access requires a long reach handle to be fitted to the Crankshaft Pulley Holding Tool securely.
Universal Handle locates within the head of the Holding Tool and is secured in position by a retaining screw.

Petrol 1.2 GDI PureTech EB2 Belt-in-Oil Engine Setting/Locking Kit - Citroën - Peugeot - DS - Opel/Vauxhall
AST5255 contains the setting/locking tools required for
engine valve timing applications on 1.2 GDi (direct injection) ‘EB’ series
belt-in-oil (also known as wet belt) engines, installed in models across the
Citroen-Peugeot range as well as in shared platform models from the
Opel-Vauxhall range.
AST5255 provides a method of setting the crankshaft and
camshaft position without the need to remove the aluminium camshaft casing and
the fuel injection system from the engine. The inlet camshaft tool simply slots
into position on the camshaft through an aperture in the aluminium camshaft casing,
the exhaust camshaft tool locates in the rear of the camshaft in place of the
vacuum pump.
The camshaft setting tools can be used to simply check the camshaft
timing position. They may also be used to set the camshaft position during belt
replacement procedures, however additional disassembly may be required to
overcome the access limitations caused by the flanged edges of the camshaft
sprockets. Additional engine disassembly may include the removal of the
aluminium camshaft casing that provides the camshaft setting location.
Note: Camshaft setting tools are not intended for use as a counter
hold when removing and installing the camshaft sprocket bolts during belt
replacement procedures.
Crankshaft Seal Installer 1.0 & 1.2 EB0 / EB2 Belt-in-Oil Petrol Engine - PSA - Opel/Vauxhall - Toyota
AST5257 Crankshaft Seal Installer can be used in conjunction with the existing bolts from the crankshaft pulley to drive the crankshaft seal to its final position within the engine casing. AST5257 is suitable for the latest 1.0VTi & 1.2VTi 'EB' series petrol belt-in-oil (commonly referred to as a wet belt) engines fitted in a wide range of Citroen-Peugeot, Opel/Vauxhall and Toyota models.
